The Seminar is scheduled for November 27-29, 2018, at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel at 999 9th St. NW, Washington DC 20001. The seminar will be hosted in conjunction with the Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA).
The Mid-Year Safety Seminar provides an opportunity for Safety professionals in public transportation to discuss pertinent safety issues as well as learn from Federal and state partners, network, and gain important knowledge on safety issues. By participating in this event, it is a great opportunity to learn from our Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) partners on recently passed final safety rules and regulations, Federal oversight, and technical assistance programs.
Further, at the seminar, best practices will be shared by transit agencies and business members throughout the country in regards to Safety Management Systems (SMS) and safety culture, suicide prevention, fatigue management, and technology programs. The agenda includes speakers and presenters who are leaders in the fields of bus and rail operational safety, training, research, and safety management.
This year, the event will be conveniently located at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel in Washington, DC. Please visit the Registration link on this website for additional hotel information and to register. Links for the at-a-glance and program will be available shortly.
